not quite. hoping holiday will alter this. any recommendations for buoyancy things - I don't want to regress to arm bands - can't pack large noodle things they use for swimming lessons. quite fancy a jacket thing for each of them, but not sure what is best route. anyone solved this dilemma

definitely the swim vests. arm bands hinder them learning to swim cos they get in the way of being able to perform the strokes correctly and they give them a feeling that they couldn't possibly swim without them, so takes longer to progress. with swim vests they are on the body not the arms, so don't affect the stroke and you can secretly take out the floats so oh my you can swim all by yourself, how clever!taking that plunge of removing the arm bands isnt there and they do it without even realising!

We bought our dss a bouyancy jacket each for our hols recently. They are age 2 and 4. The jackets are brilliant. We gradually took the floats out of ds1s jacket and........................................he was swimming a length on his front and back by the end of the holiday.

Can't recommend them highly enough.

We've managed to put noodles in suitcases! Just bend into a circle and you can get links to make them into a ring. You can get inflatable ones too which would be more compact - elc do them I think.

thanks all. Puff I will buy the konfidence jackets tomorrow - and sell them on ebay when they finally learn to swim. which hopefully will be straight after this holiday.
