Anyone been to ALoni with childcare? What's it like?

Sophable has - she liked the apartments but didn't like the childcare, if I remember rightly.

Don't worry - am sure it will be fine. I have met lots of people at other Simply resorts who had been to Crete and liked it. Plus you can bet that the nannies won't be the same as previous years - they always move on. Also, how old are your lot? Pretty sure I'm right in saying (and she won't mind me doing so) that Sophable's DS was only little and not at all used to being looked after by anyone other than his parents/grandparents at the time. I know she really liked the apartments and location though.

My ds is 4. The other two simply with creches we have stayed at have been so fabulous that if it's anything like the same formula in crete, i'm sure it will be fine if not fab!

any crete recommendations anyone?

Hi - I'm going to Crete next week on the advice of friends who had been. Heard the lady who runs the childcare wasn't so friendly but the creche itself was great. Nannies change every year so should be as good as Mousses was. When are you going?

We went there two years ago, with a four year old and 6 month old twins. I thought the lady in charge of the creche was great, perhaps it was somebody different last year. Our twins were in the creche from 9-5 every day, and we were very happy with the childcare (as we went early in the season they pretty much had 1 to 1/ or 1 to 2 for the whole time they were in there.)

Ooh, we were there at the same time as Milly (waves) and ds had a couple of mornings in the creche so dh and I could enjoy some time together... ds loved it. The woman running the creche had been doing it for years and was a permanent resident on Crete.
