Merlin Pass - any advise when to buy it

We think about getting a Merlin Pass for the next year. Are there any times of the year you can get them cheaper?

I think I read something about a "sale" in January? Does anybody know if Merlin is doing it every year?

Or if your friends have one, can they get one cheaper for you?

I got mine straight after Christmas in the January sale. The sale offered a 40% reduction. I think either January or when the theme parks open in March would be your best bet.

There's usually a sale in Jan and then there may be flash sales during the year which last about 24hours.
