Crazy I know but would anyone ask us to leave , our flight gets in at half twelve then an hour to get bags at the least then have to check in for next flight at six , to get a hotel would mean only actually staying there for about four-five hours . Has anyone done this or been asked to leave ? Ty

Yes you can snooze in the airport, find some benches and have a lie down, you'll find lots of people will be doing it.

Thanks Mogz I've seen others do it but I'm just panicking now that overnight would be different to early morning or through the day , thank you very much !

You can but it's dog uncomfortable

No, with the amount of people who have to hang around for connecting flights it is pretty much expected. Do take a travel pillow or something you can bundle up to rest your head on though as Ninja says, it can be uncomfy.
Enjoy your trip.

I've done it on comfy padded seats. They've since been replaced with hard ones though to stop the homeless using it to bed down. Departures might be more comfy though so the sooner you can check in for onward flight the better.

Depends on the airport, I think. I did it at Rome when I was in my 20s and we were skint. Couldn't check in so had to stay on cold hard metal seats with fixed arm rests so couldn't lie down. Plus, the police regularly patrolled to wake anyone up who had managed to fall asleep. Never been so grateful to get on a plane

equally, depends which airport. Heathrow and Luton make announcements all night. Singapore Changi provides free loungers and keeps the noise down.
