We live here, but don't always make the most of it. I want to look forward to the weekend - what's on?

If you want something outdoors, the young families around Shoreditch do a nice Sunday routine involving a trip to Columbia Road Flower Market (not really for the market bit, which can be crowded, but for the surrounding street which has cafes and sometimes live music) and then Spitalfields City Farm?

There's always lots to do in summer at South Bank. Last year you could help to make a giant Lego map of the world and there was a multi-coloured sandpit to play in.

Kew Gardens is brilliant. There is so much to do including a fantastic (but very popular) playground. They also have the "Kew IncrEdibles" festival on this year. Kew is quite pricey to get in but kids are free and sometimes you can get 2 for 1 deals for the adults (eg from the Times).
