Been told we can pay extra to have our seats at the front of the plane. Flight is approx 7 hrs so may need all the help we can get making journey more enjoyable for kids 2 & 6 yrs old and us frazzled parents too ;)
Has anyone got these seats before and is it worth it?

I was under the impression that you had to be 16 to sit in extra legroom seats?

Pipparivers · 19/07/2013 10:37

Worth every penny. Especially as someone will no doubt be sleeping on your lap at some point.

Pipparivers · 19/07/2013 10:38

Over 16 and able bodied for emergency exit seats. Not just ones with extra leg room.

The travel agent said children can't sit in the seats with extra legroom in the middle of the plane, over the wings but they can sit in the seats with extra legroom at the front of the plane.
Thanks Pipparivers I hope they will both sleep a bit on the flight, fingers crossed :)

What airline is this and where are you flying to?.

What does she mean by saying the front of the plane, does she mean the front of the economy section in the bulkhead seats?. I would have that point clarified. BTW the bulkhead seats do have more room but they are tended to be held back for families with newborns.

Generally speaking, do not rely on the airline to fully provide re your children. Take along foodstuffs that they like and enough of it to last the duration of the flight.

North Cyprus with Pegasus! The whole plane is economy class ;)
The agent said if they don't sell them they give them to those who ask if u get to check in early enough. Yes they offer food on the flight but u have to pay for it & its not cheap.
Seems its all about getting more money where they can from the passengers!

Check with the airline. Some airlines won't sell extra legroom seats for children and some do.

Personally I wouldn't bother for the children, and nor for us as we sit with them. Might depend on price though. Good luck.
