Does anyone know the Calahonda region in Spain? Tips?

We are looking mainly for ideas on good (sandy) beaches/ coves or waterparks or restaurants (not seafood- allergy to shellfish)? We are going at the very end of July.

There are some lovely restauarants around the little port at Capbopino, just next to Calahonda. The beach there is nice too.
