Accommodation within driving distance from Nantes

We are looking for gite for 2 adults and two children within driving distance of Nantes. Preferably close to lakes or within day trip to beach. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Try the labouroflovegites website, (sorry, cannot link, not very tech-y), we have stayed in their gites a couple of times in Guemene Penfao, not too far from Nantes, very pretty and quiet, with safe, private play area for children, plus there is a lake with man made mini-beach in the next town along (Plessis).

Can't remember how far to a main beach, we didn't go, but sure there is one within 24 hours.

You can get to the south Vendée in one hour from Nantes. The area round Fontenay le Comte is nice there is a lake nearby and beach is only 40 mins away.

We stayed in a mobile home near Pornic on the coast, less than an hour from Nantes, lots to do, nice beaches. There are sites all along the coast.
