Disneyland Paris - no picnics?

Is it true Disneyland Paris don't allow you to take food into the parks? We're going in 2 weeks, camping nearby and as it really is a shoestring holiday have not budgeted to eat in the park, but to take packed lunches.

Have read that you can't take your own food though, is that true?

You can't take picnic baskets/large hampers in, but you can defo take small rucksacks, handbags, shoulder bags etc stuffed full of food! We did and it all went through the scanner every singe day. Have a great time. If you take bottles with screw tops then you can refill at the fountains.

We always take food in as it is so expensive in there. I think they mean no picnic hampers, blankets etc. We usually take a couple of rolls, cereal bars, crisps and drinks etc.

Unfortunately, there's nowhere to actually sit and have a picnic in DLP, which is one of my gripes about it. You end up fighting for space on a bench somewhere. There is a picnic area outside the main entrance which you can go to - we went for a few days a couple of years ago, and did that each day, if only to get a break from the constant music playing through the speakers everywhere Grin
