Buggies at Dubai Airport?

Hello!

Wondering if anyone could help...

We will be flying through Dubai in the summer and I heard they have strollers available in the terminal building but I can't find it mentioned on the Dubai Airport Website. Can anyone confirm if there are strollers freely available in the transit areas and if you need to book it? Or ask the airline to do something about it?

Many thanks!

There are big banks of them available as you come off the plane. You can keep them right up till you board next plane or leave airside. Wonderful service.

I concur. Saw loads of them about the place on Tuesday. The only thing was they all had Emirates branding all over them. I don't know if there is more than one terminal that Emirates doesn't fly from?
Probably unlikely but just thought I'd mention. You may be going Emirates or Qantas anyway.

Oh That's great! What a relief! And, yes, we are going Emirates. Thanks again!

Yes, they are bright red mclarens.

Yes loads of red maclaren buggies with Emirates branding in the terminal used by Emirates. If racks are empty there will be spare ones dotted about where they have been left. The airport staff in Dubai look out for those with children - red buggy makes you an easy spot - and guide you to shorter queue at passport control desks for families.

Agree with others, they have loads available at both terminals

There are actually 3 terminals at Dubai airport. Emirates use T3, most other airlines use T1; both have superb facilities. T2 is budget and Middle east regional airlines - facilities are much more basic but I'm guessing you'll almost certainly be using one of the others.

Last time we didn't need one any more which was just as well as there weren't any left because people were taking them to push their hand luggage round in! This was last summer so hopefully they have clamped down on this.

On previous trips when we needed one we have always managed to get one.
