Disneyland in California

We are planning a trip with our 4yr old triplets next year. Can any one recommend accomodation, really child friendly, close to Disney, either hotel/resort/private home, in fact anything. Would love to find something really special or unusual.

We stayed at the Hilton - not exactly unusual but extremely kid friendly. No problem with food for dd in any restaurant or room service. It had a swimming pool both indoor and outdoor too. The best bit was the hotel ran a free courtesy bus to and from the park. We all had fabulous time and loved California so really enjoy it.

We stayed at the Hilton Suites Anaheim/Orange (400 State College Blvd.). They have a toy library so you can check out toys during your stay, free full breakfast, and a very parent-friendly free two hour "happy hour" in the late afternoon. The bartenders are quite nice about making Shirley Temples and other fun drinks for children in addition to the drinks for grown ups! My daughter also received a nice little travel bag upon arrival. Also has the pool, shuttle bus service to and from the park, and a popular shopping mall down the street (I think it was called The Mall at Orange) that was recently featured in my local paper as a teen/kid oriented mall.

Thanks for the messages. I should have said that I have actually been to California twice and know all the sites. We went in 1991 and 1993 with Matthew who was then 12 and 14 years old, he died unexpectedly in 1994. So now we want to return with the trio but of course they will only be 5yrs, so it will have to be a different type of holiday as we did alot of miles with Matthew. We love finding really unusual places, like the Madonna Inn. So accomodation recommendationa appreciated.

Sorry to hear about your ds triplets
Now you have triplets to take to disneyland - wow! The Castle Inn is nice, looks like a big castle (duh!) and has a children's wading pool. It's about half a block away from Disneyland...hth.
