we're going in a couple of weeks, with ds (4), dd (11 months), my parents & brother (so built in baby sitting :o). staying in adjacent villas, \link{http://www.vfbholidays.co.uk/res_web_accom_directory.aspx?supplierCode=VFB&cat1=159&cat2=276&accomId=2792&productId=2942\here}, & we're hiring cars.

tell me what to do!

We managed without aircon and had temps of 35c, like Hoxty, and also not usual for early June. The NW coast is very sunny but also cooled by the sea air.

We'll just have to stay down South next time Marina! Our villa has a roof terrace which looks out onto the sea - I am looking forward star gazing with the sound of the sea in the distance (children fast asleep after swimming all day of course).

I hope you love it as much as we did
The nights by the sea are lovely. Sigh

it was about 10 degrees cooler on the coast yoyo, so you should be ok. we didn't have aircon either, just a couple of fans in the bedrooms.

would you like to borrow my lonely planet guide? i could send it to you in the next couple of days.

we tried to get the train 1 day, but there were only 2 a day & we were too late....

vfb were very good. i managed to leave our car hire voucher behind & they sorted it out with no fuss at the airport. we saw the rep a couple of times which was quite enough .

Hoxtonchick - sorry for not replying sooner. I have been meaning to since I read your post re: the guide but, sadly, my grandmother died last week and my enthusiasm for our holiday has diminished somewhat. Thank you very much for the offer but I really doubt that I would have been able to read much of it so we will go armed with Marina's info and the DK guide book. I always find the sea comforting (being Welsh) and am hoping that it will be its usual calming presence for me next week. Thanks again.

Just thought I'd let you know that the holiday was fantastic. The scenery was spectacular, the people lovely, and the weather was perfect. Corsican Places were really helpful (one or two mishaps and a visit to the hospital on Day 1). We have every intention of returning as soon as we can as there was so much that we didn't see.

Marina - thanks for all the tips. There were quite a few "Marina said" moments when we were out and about!
