how much would/should the tip be?

OP posts:
CarlK · 22/05/2006 19:17

at least £4 depending on the service

cod · 22/05/2006 19:18

yes
they say 10 per cent

hana · 22/05/2006 19:20

I'd say a fiver if service was good
hate it when restaurants assume a 12.5% gratuity and it's added on, or places that have 'gratuity not included' splashed all over the menus

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 22/05/2006 19:23

I dont tip Blush

Was out for a pizza with a friend last week and as I paid he asked why I didnt leave a tip -I didnt know I was supposed to!

nutcracker · 22/05/2006 19:23

I don't tip either Tamba.

Angeliz · 22/05/2006 19:24

Twiglett · 22/05/2006 19:24

10%

MerlinsBeard · 22/05/2006 19:24

i don't tip, its not like they don't get paid for what they do

Angeliz · 22/05/2006 19:25

WOW, 3 posts at EXACTLY the same time!

Twiglett · 22/05/2006 19:25

unless in US .. then you double the VAT

BadHair · 22/05/2006 19:27

10% but I round up if service was really, really good. So if it was a £4 tip I'd give them a fiver if they'd been helpful.
I only tip in places where I've had proper service, ie a bit more than a surly teenager shuffling you to your table, plonking a menu down then buggering off for an hour. So Pizza Hut staff don't get much cash out of me I'm afraid.

LadyTophamHatt · 22/05/2006 19:30

depends how much loose change I have in my pocket.

certainly no more than a couple of quid though....

morningpaper · 22/05/2006 19:34

never less than 10%

Blu · 23/05/2006 10:34

Are these tip tips?
