London Zoo for littles (3.5 & 1 yr old)

Has anyone visited London Zoo recently and can they recommend it for littles? A friend went a while back and said hardly any of the animals were visible and it was a very expensive way to wander round!

haven't been to London Zoo.

I suggest you go to Whipsnade or Longleat instead, you can drive around in both, just brilliant.

you can also use tesco vouchers in Whipsnade (converted from clubcard points) - saves a lot of money. Longleat might does this too, can't remember.

Yes can use Tesco at longleat. But long drive if live in London

We go to the zoo all the time and it is brilliant - we are members (£80 for the year opposed to £20 per visit if you aren't). Unfortunately not free for over 3s. The new Tiger Territory is great and so are the wallabies, the walk through monkeys and butterflies. But if you go take a packed lunch as the restaurant there is very expensive.
