Hi, we have a little bit of extra money this year and are trying to get away to the sunshine for 2 weeks during July. We like the look of marjorca and have heard great things about puerto pollensa in terms of being great for kids etc. We are a family of 5 (youngest 18months old) and ideally would like a villa with pool but they all seem so expensive for 2 weeks. Got me thinking that maybe an apartment might be better if we could find a quiet one in a complex that's not too built up? Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap-ish villas with pools and/or nice aparment recommendations?? Thanks in advance folks!!!

A word of advice from experience please make sure you keep your valuables on you including passports, flights tickets if these are stolen from your holiday accomodation could be a nightmare to get sorted as I discovered in Majorca. Theft is rife.

Hi, we've been to Puerto Pollensa twice and it is gorgeous! Went a couple of years ago to Aparthotel Puerto Azul which suited us perfectly (2 kids - 7 and 4 then) as we had a one-bed apartment and went half board. Food was very nice. Ideally located about 5 mins walk to the beach/Pine Walk and about 10 mins stroll to the centre of town. Prior to that visit we went with Thomas Cook to Villa Concha, self-catering, but not as nice compared to Puerto Azul with regards to location and the place itself but it was about 5 years ago. Would have happily returned to PP this year but the price has rocketed (probably gone up about £800) and we can only go mid August. It really is a beautiful resort - hope you find somewhere :)
