Barcelona Hotel/Apartment suggestions please

Taking DH and DD's to Barcelona for 3 nights in May as a surprise for DH's 40th. My sister lives there so DD's will stay with her for a day and night so that we can have some child free time. Can anyone recommend any family friendly accommodation which is also a bit quirky/luxurious (but not horribly expensive)?

check out splendom suites, i think you can book them thru babyboltholes too, we have used the madrid one and it was gorgeous and had brilliant communal drawing room/play room

I have stayed here twice. Ver nice and just off Las Ramblas.
