Spending money for Dubai

We are thinking of spending a week in Dubai in December and having never been before, I'm trying to figure out how much spending money we will need for 2 people? Can anyone give me a rough estimation? I know it is dependant on what you want to do each day but a rough guide would be really helpful.

It really depends, are you in an apartment or hotel, B & B or HB?
As Ohhelp has said, alcohol is VERY expensive as are a number of the 'must go to' restaurants.
