Under 3s eating at Disneyland Paris

All the info I have seen about under 3s for DLP is that they go free, and when I have looked at the buffet restaurants, all the prices start from 3+. Do they assume you take your own food for under 3s, or that they eat a bit f everyone else's, or that if they eat, then you pay as if they are 3+?
I'm guessing if you eat at a non-buffet, then you pay for any dishes you order them, but wasn't sure how it works at buffets where you pay per head, as it says 3+ everywhere I've looked.
Hope that makes sense...thanks!

I think under three are free at buffet. Buffets are expensive there and he you had to pay it would be a waste of money!

Kids under 3 eat for free at the buffets. You just pay for anything they eat off menu at the other restaurants although they are happy to give you a plate for little ones to eat from your food.
