Dd is of the age where it might be fun to get on a train together and explore some cities. We'd love to do the natural history museum but wondered if anyone had any other ideas? Anywhere accessible by train would be great as we live close to Nottingham train station. Cheers

ThinkTank in Birmingham is supposed to be good for littluns. Hope so anyway as we're taking our 3yo ds next week.

Does it have to be a city? Mine liked visiting farms at that age.

Leicester space centre? Although at 3 she might be a bit too young.

I think the fun benefits of the day out could be negated by anything longer than an hour train ride to be honest, that is still2 hours travelling in a day
