Salou/Portaventura?

Thinking of going in Aug, never been to main land Spain. Love Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca but kids want a theme park a we can`t afford Florida!! Is it brash??

It's fantastic .. Not at all brash , much more authentic than Disney . We have been twice and loved it. Please ask my questions you want to.

Ps.. Salou is a bit grim but portaventura is not in Salou it's on the outskirts . Salou actually has a great beach .
