What do show my friend in NYC?

Hello,

We are off to NYC on Saturday and my friend has never been to NYC. What are the musts to show her apart from the obvious? I have been so many times and don't 'behave' as a typical tourist anymore.

I'd just ask your friend what she wants to see and then mix it in with showing her 'real' NY. Most people arrive with a few must see ideas.

Fwiw, my go to NYC tour when family come over are Top of the Rock, MoMa, Central Park, glass of wine at The Boat House, cocktail on roof bar at the Peninsula Hotel, Canal St for knock off handbags, ferry to Statten Island, the Brooklyn Bridge, etc etc etc.

I think the Statue of Liberty is still closed and some of the downtown businesses are still not up and running, post Sandy.
