It's a replacement one for ds who has outgrown his first one.
If I post it tommorrow how soon can I expect the passport?

Just spoke to DH it's not a fault proof system at the PO, they can be rejected, but it's unlikely. If they already have a passport it should be more straight forward. larsxx

Thanks lars, mine is a renewal, and 3 new ones for the kids. Can you ask your DH if I have read the form right with this.............

My old passport is in my maiden name, so when I renew it I just need to send in my marriage certificate, and I dont need to send in my birth certificate..........................please tell me I am right, as I have lost my birth certificateGrin

As I understand the guidance notes, you don't need your birth certificate - just your marriage certificate.

We have just done our renewals and got them back within 10 days.

I woudn't risk booking until its back, but surely a few more days won't hurt anyway?

Waterfalls, sorry for the delay, just asked DH.
Marriage certificate for you is required.

For kids if it's their first passport you will need long birth certificate (with parents details).
Cuntered signed form saying they know you as a parent ( NOT CHILD!) Most are rejected as they say they know the child.

On back of photo's counter signed that they know the child.

Section 4 needs to be filled in wth parents details and passport numbers.

Photo's are very strict now, I used a photo shop for kids as they are clear about what's required for the passport, cost was 5.00. larsxx
