Weymouth, not always for the day.

Not a big place, but has a few rides and amusements. Lovely clean sandy beach with ethe perfect sand for sandcastles. Lots of good local bays, some sandy, though Osmington Mills has great rockpools (my favourite), no access to beach for cars or pushchairs or the infirm. What I really wanted to recommend though was "The Countryman" pub at East Knighton. Food is non fussy, they do kids meals and they go out of their way to make eating out with little ones less stressful. Very friendly, Very family friendly. Just done 4 night stay at Chesil Beach holiday park in caravan for £99.
