Where is hot in April?

Want to book a last minute holiday over Easter - was looking at Portugal but it doesn't appear to be that warm this time of year. Where is the warmest place to go where it is warm enough to sit outside (3-4 hour flight max from London). Or am I hoping for too much this early in season?
