Amsterdam & kids - any suggestions

Travelling to The Dam with two children and DH (DCs aged 2 and 5), any ideas of things to amuse them, besides a boat trip and just ambling around ?
Only there for 3 nights.

According to Dutch DP you should deffinatly go to Amsterdam zoo.

You should visit Nemo, which is the dutch version of the Science Museum very hands. We also travelled around by tram as well they enjoyed that.

I was going to suggest the Nemo place . Trams, chips with mayo, zoo, canals. What kid could turn those down?

If you haven't yet been on your trip then take them to Tun Fun - my kids still talk about the great time they had there years go. Let me know if you want more details if you have not yet left.
