BERLIN - SHONFELD AIRPORT. ADVICE PLEASE

Am hoping to have a short break to Berlin at Easter. Flight would land at Schonfeld airport about 11pm on Easter Monday.

With two children would getting public transport to hotel in Berlin Central be a problem at this time or should I book hotel next to airport.

Any advice from recent travellers/Germans who know about bank holiday public transport arrangements please!!

Schonfield airport is 11 miles southeast of the city.

Purely due to your arrival time late at night I'd book the hotel.

I had a look at connections for you - you'd be looking at an hour's travelling time, meaning you'd arrive in the centre of Berlin between half past 12 and one o'clock in the morning - then you'd have to get to the hotel -

I would definitely stay in a hotel at the airport if I was you!
