we are meeting some friends in Windsor tomorrow afternoon it's about half way from where we each live.
Can anyone recommend a good place for an early dinner please (5.30/6pm) for children ranging from 4 to 11 and adults?

TIA

I remember someone here posted about a good family restaurant in Windsor at the bottom of the hill, I'd like more details please..... I realise its a bit late for YOU though - so did you find a good place to eat?

we went to windsor a few weeks ago and went to Zizzi's - good family friendly pizza chain near the castle

The restaurant is Browns but there are the usuals such as pizza express and mc donalds. My fave place is the cafe in Daniels which is an old fashioned dept store. But that's more lunchy.

Best things to do (apart from castle) are feeding the swans, river boat trip and the little funfair down a by the river (if it's open). You can go over the river into Eton, or for a walk in Windsor Great Park. Good views of Castle.

Ooo also, go to the old railway station, there are loads of cafes there...
