Hi, DP and I are having an overnight stay in Glasgow during Oct. Will be a Sunday night, we have a gig from around 8ish but would like a nice meal before hand, not too far from top of Buchanan St...any thoughts?!

Don't want to leave your post unanswered. There are LOADS of restaurants alongside Buc St. My current fave place to eat in Glasgow is The Left Bank although it's maybe 10mins in a taxi from Buc st. Any particularly preferred cuisine? What's your budget?

Rogano further down the hill, just off Buchanan St. Glasgow institution. Sit upstairs and arrive early for a drink at the bar.

Sarti's.

There is one on Renfield St but I'm not sure if it is open on a Sunday. The original, and best IMHO, is on Bath St and is open on a Sunday as DH and I ate there a few weeks ago before a gig.

Excellent, authentic Italian pizza. Fabulous!

Urban bar and grill in St Vincent St/Buchanan St junction is lovely. Never had a less-than-wonderful meal there.

Red Onion. About 10 mins walk from Buchanan Street.

or Maggie Mays in Merchant City, usually have a band on.

Thanks all...so much to choose from? Healthy budget as its my birthday meal, but need fairly casual dress code as gigging afterwards! On t'internet now to check out menus Smile
