Hi all, we hope to take our dd to Tenerife when she is about 5/6 months. Any tips for dealing with flights, feeding etc. will I need to take the pram or could a stroller do? Will we need to stay close to the hotel , eg poolside rather than beach. Also if anyone knows any good accommodation for babies and young families ?

Bumping this as I'm going with a 7 month old to Madeira and sympathise!

We're taking our normal pushchair/car seat. If it does the job in UK then it will abroad. It must be collapsible to go on the plane, the pushchair that is!

I'm flying with Jet2 and phoned them this morning. I am allowed to take both to the gate but must ensure at check in that I get two tags for each to go in the hold. I am pretty sure most airlines are the same. Ours only allows up to 10kg for both together.

For the flight, I'm taking a few hand held toys but as he can only stay awake for 2/3 hours, I am sure he'll nap on the flight.

There is no need to stay close to the hotel. Tenerife has babies too! As for the hotel, i've never been before but choose a hotel that is recommended for families and has plenty of water/creche facilities and a park. Grass is helpful too for them to crawl, sit up on.
