there was a story in one of the papers a while ago where a family weren't allowed to fly because cabin crew were convinced their toddler was over 2. As it happens, he wasn't (obviously a big baby!) but they had no proof of his age and because they didn't and the cabin crew thought he looked like he was over 2 and needed a seat, they made them wait till they had proof of age before they let them fly (or they may have given in and bought a seat - can't remember the ending!).

I presume I will need to phone them to buy a ticket for him as I have already booked dh's - and won't be abel to book a 2yo as a single ticket.

I would call them to be on the safe side - just say you'd totally forgotten he'd be 2 when you're travelling - I'm sure they'll sort you out a ticket. They were nice enough to me when I turned up at the wrong airport!!!! Sounds an interesting tale Aero!
I shall phone them - but blame it on dh - it sounds like the kind of thing a man would 'forget'!!

Good plan. Smile Can't blame dh for the wrong airport thing though - credit where it's due and all that - totally down to me! Blush We regularly travel from Gatwick, but on that particular occassion the cheapest seats were from Stansted, but having been so used to going to Gatwick, I totally forgot this trip was any different - we found out at the desk. Luckily, the flight from Stansted was delayed and we made it with plenty of time to spare, but oh the embarrassment I suffered!Blushx1,000,000

Gosh - you must have driven like the wind to get from Gatwick to Stanstead!

Blush We didn't quite exceed the speed limit, but nearly!
