Sorry Suzy - we'll deffo come out to Perth once permanently in Aussie.

It's just too much of a stretch in a month to see Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns (GtBarrier Reef).

How are you anyway?

suzywong · 08/03/2006 06:34

Tut
that's what you get for living in the most isolated city in the world

I 'm really really well thanks, enjoying life and the sunshine and the kids. Happiest I've been in a long long time and the most content I've ever been.

How are you

dejags · 08/03/2006 06:41

You sound so happy - that's really great!

I am really good too thanks. Not quite as settled but so excited about our trip - we leave on 1st May.

The DS's and DH are fab, so all in all good.

Do you ever feel very isolated in Perth?

suzywong · 08/03/2006 06:46

That's good that you're all good too

Um, it does freak me out to see Perth on the map, even the national map let alone the world map. But then it is closer to Europe than Sydney, DH has been to London and LA twice on business so I live vicariously through him in terms of contact with the outside world, and then of course I'm coming to London for 2 weeks in September sans enfants.

I haven't been out of the Southwest of WA for 18 months and I thought that would be weird and frustrating but it would seem that I have everything I want right here.

RTKM last July in Sydney - torrential rain. Worse than Manchester ( sorry, family joke. It always rains when we go to visit te inlaws near Manchester). Despite torrential rain it was warm enough for light clothes and a waterproof jacket. Certainly didn't need to wrap up. Spent lots of time laughing at Aussies dressed in thick coats, hats and scarves.

Cairns was warm enough for shorts and Tshirt almost all the time we were up there. Oz Winter was pretty much like UK May/June when we were there.

Have deffo brill time!

RTKangaMummy · 08/03/2006 23:00

Thanks NBL

When we were in SYD at Easter it rained too

So I guess an umbrella would be good idea

Actually we got a Sydney 2000 Olympic Umbrella Smile

SO we will be prepared Grin
