We have had similar quotes for mobile homes at La Grande Metairie, Carnac and Les Deux Fountaines, Raguenes.

If you have any experience of these sites, which one would you recommend and why?

Please help us to decide!

Les deux fontaines was lovely and o much less busy and commercialised than Carnac. Would go back.

End of may would be a wee bit chilly I would think but probably lovely and quiet. We've been t Brittany at the en of June which was nice. Weather similar to Cornwall if that helps.

when the kids were younger our normal holiday was a mobile in brittany may half term and the week after. the weather was normally very good - i don't remember it being that chilly - we still went on the beach in swimming costumes. we did have holidays when it seemed to rain every day - but these were sometimes in aug.

may half term week was normally full, but you don't have all the french on their hols then. so very easy to park at beaches etc. the second week was even quieter, but everything was still open, so lovely.

it could get cold at night though in the mobile. we had gas fire on in the morning - though we also did this one morning in aug in the vendee.

agree weather similar to cornwall/south coast of uk, but bit warmer and not so wet.

carnac is not busy at that time and men du beach is one of the loveliest anywhere. you can visit lots of other places around there - vendee, auray which are lovely and there are loads of very quiet beaches - eg picnicked beside a beach with around 6 cars parked, eating in a field of orchids.

on saying that les deux fontaines is also lovely, espec the walk through the fields to the beach. Don't know about venue hols. personally hate decking as reduces pitch size to pitch badminton net.

south brittany has a microclimate which is similar to norther vendee - if you look at the stats.
