Orlando city centre. Worth a visit?

Going to Florida in October. Is Orlando city centre worth a visit? Obviously doing parks etc, but wondered if there were interesting things (shops) to see. Thanks.

Its okay. The big Malls are probably more interesting, as is downtown Kissimee. Orlando is a big convention location too.
I'd tend to recommend getting out into the country or going to somewhere like NASA instead.

Having a drive out to Celebration is interesting.
