Can't believe we are this organised. Have just booked a fortnight in Arles in Provence for August.
Anyone else sorted yet?

Yep, July - 2 weeks in Denia (same as last year), but this time in my friend's 3 bed villa by the sea with private own pool (last year was a tiny two bed apartment that was unbearably hot, even in early June!
Taking mum and dad too.

OldieMum · 04/03/2006 19:57

Clary - luckily, we had paid only a small advanced-booking deposit to 'French Affair'. They gave it back to us, which I thought was very decent of them. We have booked a week's break in the same region of France at Easter, instead.

PrincessPeaHead · 04/03/2006 20:02

booked my flights for greece in july - 3 weeks -

Clary · 04/03/2006 22:31

Phew Oldiemum! Could be cutting it fine otherwise Smile

KBear · 04/03/2006 22:33

We're away to the hills in May - Highlands of Scotland. I... can't.... wait

WestCountryLass · 05/03/2006 14:16

Yep, we are going to my brothers wedding near Malaga at the end of April (this will be our summer holiday) and we are staying for 10 days.

Flights are booked, pageboy/bridesmaid dresses bought and we just have to sort out car hire!

I will also be going to my Dads in Weymouth for a week and to my friends caravan in Devon for a week in August which is all sorted too!

You all make me so ashamed. I never get round to thinking about our holidays until I realise there is a school break coming up, then I rush around pay top dollar and end up going someone only the rich and famous go because there is nothing left. My little boy has only flown short-haul once and then he kept asking when the film was coming on. I can thoroughly recommend any of the Beaches resorts, fantastic for the kids and mums and dads.

littlerach · 05/03/2006 14:43

acually booked it before xmas.

fimbo · 05/03/2006 15:03

A week in London in July with the inlaws - sharing a house in Greenwich - booked last week.

A week in a cottage in Dorset (by ourselves!) in August - booked last summer.

PiccadillyCircus · 05/03/2006 15:32

Yes - we booked our June holiday in October Smile.

We're going to a Keycamp site in France (can't actually remember quite where Blush)

merrymum · 05/03/2006 15:35

jac34 · 05/03/2006 15:55

We're going to Portugal for 9 days, have booked flights and a villa overlooking the beach.Five of us,our DS's,stepDD,DH and myself. It will be the first time stepDD has come on holiday with us,for more than a couple of days.
We were all on holiday the same time last year(DD was with her Mum) and the children absolutely loved being on holiday together, so we're all looking forward to it.Also,DH and I have not been to Portugal for years and it always was our fav holiday destination.

Milliways · 05/03/2006 21:26

Yep, we also booked in October for August near Perpignan, camping at La Sirene.

Emma1404 · 06/03/2006 10:50

My parents are taking me, my husband and my little girl (who will be 13 months)away to Gran Canaria in May. Really worried as first time she will of flown and im also not used to flying for 4 hours on a plane. Already having sleepless nights about it. Its not just the flying, its everything, from how she will eat and if she will sleep properly and also the heat. HELP!!! :(

zazas · 06/03/2006 12:05

Yes - two weeks in France (South West) - gite with pool in August. Need to book early as with 4 kids the availability goes so quickly. Plus it is what gets me through the winters - looking forward to it and then living on the memories of sun the winter after!

IlanaK · 06/03/2006 12:24

Well, we can't afford a proper holiday but I have still managed to book 2! We used Virgin Miles for 4 tickets to florida to stay with my Dad in Key West (were meant to go in Nomvember when the hurricane hit so now going in April). And have used £1000 of tesco vouchers with Cosmos for a week in Rhodes at the end of Septmember (plus a bit more money). Not bad since we weren't going to go on holiday!

Lucycat · 06/03/2006 12:31

so is it touring Wales instead moondog? Grin

We've booked 2 weeks in Dorset (camping) in August - Enid can you fix the weather for us?

I'd love any of the above French holidays but I can't convince dh as he thinks dd2 is still to little Sad

PeachyClair · 06/03/2006 12:34

Bank holiday weekend end May in New Forest, week in Isle of Wight camoing in July, first week of school hols as that is ds3's 3rd birthday.

Grin
moondog · 06/03/2006 13:36

Too little for what exactly Lucy??
How old is the child?

Lucycat · 06/03/2006 14:37

She just about has the patience for the drive down to Dorset, so we'd have to break the journey down to go over the Channel and unfortunately Dover is the wrong side of the country for us, so the crossing would probably be Portsmouth - Caen.

She's 2.10 - in the throes of toddledom at the mo!

OldieMum · 06/03/2006 14:51

Lucycat - we have been taking DD (3) to France every year since she was 5 months old. We just take an overnight ferry, with cabin, from Portsmouth to St Malo. It's really not a big deal. Why not try it?

Lucycat · 06/03/2006 16:02

Oh I'm convinced, still working on dh! He's not long been converted to the joys of camping, being a static caravan man from his youth!

Oh and we'll have to save up for the ferry crossing too. Grin But never fear we'll get there!
