When are French supermarkets open this weekend ?

We arrive in France Fri pm heading down to near La Rochelle - are they open sat at all - sum am ?? Thanks .

I'm near Vannes, & the Carrefour & Le Clerc are open 9am - 8pm, and Sunday is a normal day here. Can't comment on local ones though - if you look online all the info should be there.

Excellent - thought they would be shut on Sat - there is an intermarche near where we are going .

The large French supermarkets are generally open on Sunday mornings, closing at about midday.

14 July is Bastille Day, there may be changes to opening hours.

Our local supermarket is open Saturday morning this week. That is exceptional though they are normally closed on the 14th. No Sunday openning here, but the ones on the coast open Sunday morning.

Noramum - that's why I was asking as it is Bastille Day and need something for dinner on sat at our gite. Assumed stuff would be shut.
