Dp and I are doing Alphabet dating- taking it in turns to plan dates beginninng with each letter, a bit naff I know, but we wanted to do something a bit more interesting than going to a bar/ restaurant. I have "A" for attraction (London eye) but i want to plan it properly to make real evening of it. We have 9pm tickets. What can we do afterwards that doesn't cost a fortune?

Depends when you are going. But why not check out what's on along the south bank and have a walk along there, lots to see and no need for cabs
Or walk over the bridge up to trafalger sq, then up to Covent garden?

The walk sounds good. How long would that take?

we used to pick up the sunday papers around midnight on a saturday and take them home to read on a lazy sunday morning!!

i suppose they still do that?

I'd def go for a walk along the river.

Not long, the London eye is right on the river. So just get off and head up the path, go for as long as you like !!!!

Wine tasting? Comedy club?

Why not do 'B' on the same night and go for a romantic bridge walk along the stretch of the Thames. Start at Westminster Bridge and walk along the embankment crossing over at each bridge until you get to Tower Bridge. Cocktails along the way or go take it easy and do a nightime river cruise.
