Making up formula bottles on holiday in Corfu

Hi all. We're going to Corfu in a few weeks with DS who will be around 7 months when we go. I'm not sure what to do about his formula. Do we just boil and cool the tap water out in Corfu or should be boil and cool bottled water instead? Also, what should we do about sterilising his bottles? Will we need to do this as he'll be 7 months (I sure hope so because I don't know how we're going to sterilise them otherwise!) Many thanks!

Boiled and cooled tap should be fine - and just boil everything in a big pan of water.

cold water sterilising using milton tablets in a tupperware container or the sink.

boiled and cooled tap water should be fine - although when travelling I have used evian at room temp.

Where abouts in Corfu are you going?

depending on what formula you use then this may be useful.

When we went away with dd I took the cold water steriliser and sterilising fluid and I also bought the ready made cartons of formula which doesn't need refrigerating until opened. I could just put enough cartons and bottles in the bag for the day and open as required throughout.

Angeliz, we're going to be in Kalami for the first week and then San Stefanos (the one in the northwest corner of the island) - can't wait!!!

San Stefanos on the West is gorgeous, haven't spent much time in Kalami.
Hope you have a great time
If you get a chance you should visit Kassiopi on the North East of the Island, i lived there for years.

Helsi - did your luggage not become laden down with ready made cartons? We use Aptamil which is hard enough to get in cartons here so I don't think we'll be able to get them in Corfu

TBH no it wasn't laden down as I bought the smaller cartons with enough for one feed in them and they are wuite compact but at the time dd was only one about 4 bottles every 24 hours at the time. I used Cow and Gate

and just think of all the space in your suitcase on your return journey for Greek stuff

Angeliz - we will definitely be visiting Kassiopi - any tips for good places to go, things to do, places to eat?

There's an Italian restaraunt called Little Italy which is lovely and owned by great freinds of mine, Antonio and Mantoula. Then the Parfait Bar which plays movies and serves gorgeous cakes and icecreams, i worked there for 3 or 4 years.
The best Nighttime bar was Illusions but i guess you'll be off by then with the baby

Thanks Angeliz - will give them all a go! (going with friends who've said they will babysit at least one of the nights!)
