I took my then 4.5yr old to BKK 3yrs ago and she LOVED it. In fact when i decided that we had "done" Sydney and we talked about where to go,her immediate answer was "back to Bankok Mummy". She STILL talks about it and if we ever have the funds again,we will go backIn addition to all previously mentioned, long tail trips up the Klongs, riverbus journey to temple or shopping centre, visit to somewhere like the Erawan Shrine, night markets etc etc.It is a wonderful place and it really is "land of smiles". If budget allows,I would HIGHLY recomment going to "Siam Naramit" which is a theatre production (and a lot more) based on the history of Siam forward.Sounds really dull but it was fantastic.....Happy to answer any questions!

With kids, I'd rather go to Chiang-Mai, in the north. Lovely, not so hot, and they have elephants.

Went a couple of years ago with DCs 7 and 12 at the time. Found a tour guide through Trip Advisor, 'Tour with Tong' - it was an incredible experience! Usually hate tours but this was just our family in an air-conditioned people carrier, with a driver and guide - took us to the floating market, rides with elephants, and to a fishing village. They can also do the Tiger Temple (but I'm not so keen on that particular attraction).
Ive recommended them to other friends and family and they all had a briiliant time!
