Canary Islands - family friendly resorts

Hi can anyone recommend a family resort in the canaries that is not too large and still retains some traditional charm, or anywhere in Spain that meets this criteria really!?

We have been to Los Cristianos in Tenerife this year.
Lovely place and would recommend.
Our dc are 5 and 8 and had a fantastic time. All cafes etc are friendly and welcoming. Resort is not too big either and not too noisy.

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote and Puerto Mogan in Gran Canaria were both lovely - much nicer than I'd imagined the Canaries to be....

Playa Blanca in Lanzarote is goodfor families. Los Christianos in Tenerife too.

Carvoeiro in Portugal was lovely with v pretty beaches.
I don't like built up places either and am thinking of somewhere in Spain myself, DH thinks Sitges tho have never been.
