Water park tickets for Orlando

ihatethecold · 15/05/2012 15:44

I just want to buy tickets for typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach.
When I look online I can't find tickets just for the waterparks. They sell them with theme park tickets. I don't want to go to any Disney theme parks.
Does anyone know how I can get an idea of costs for them both ?
Thanks

Water Parks (Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon)

One-Day/One-Park Admission - $52.19 Adult (10+), $43.67 Child (3-9)

This is a good site. I think you're mad as I would always go for the 14 day ultimate ticket but maybe I'm just jealous that I'm not going this year Grin

We went to Disney last yr. didn't do universal parks. so won't have time to go to disney as well as universal.
Really want to do the water parks again. They were brilliant.
We will only have 1 week in Orlando. Then a week in Clearwater

Have a great time :)

We did one day at Universal last year just to go to the WWoHP but were disappointed, hope you have a better experience! Need to be there at the crack of dawn if wanting to do the HP ride.

My DH loves the Disney waterparks - so much so that he went one day when we were there in frozen January Hmm I was busy doing my backstage tour of the Magic Kingdom though so he had to so something not quite so geeky Blush Grin

We are not fussed about HP.
There are other goods things to do apart from HP isn't there?

If you like massive rides then yes but we don't so found there wasn't a lot of stuff to do. I wanted to do a Jurassic Park ride but you could only do it with a child (we were 5 adults)! Meeting Spiderman was cool though :)

I think I am just Disney conditioned Grin we found Universal less accommodating of my Mum's mobility problems too, some of that was the overcrowding of the HP area but lots of niggles really.

I do tend to plan Orlando trips to the nth degree and do a lot of research but with Universal I just felt a bit ripped off. I've got good friends who completely disagree with me and only do Universal so it's each to their own.

We love the Universal parks and find loads to do there. Don't miss Harry Potter Land, try going in the evening, it gets much less busy. I'm sure we have ridden Jurrassic Park wi_thout a child before.
Also, check out the price of a day ticket to Aquatica, it's just as good as the Disney water parks.

ImpatientOne · 15/05/2012 16:37

It was the one where you hang from a pterodactyl type thing not the main JP water ride :) only takes one adult and one child under a certain height. I was with my mum and dad but it didn't count Wink

ihatethecold · 15/05/2012 16:41

I have been to aquatica. But I loved typhoon lagoon and we missed blizzard beach last time.
Time constraints mean we can't do everything.

ImpatientOne, I think that is called Pteranadon Fliers. You made a lucky escape, the ride involves a VERY long wait followed by a very short, boring and disappointing ride.

ImpatientOne · 15/05/2012 16:55

Phew thanks wigwam I have been harbouring that grudge for quite a while Wink Thankfully getting on that ride wasn't the only reason that we are TTC!

Wormshuffler · 15/05/2012 16:58

Have you thought about getting tickets off the touts ? We sold our tickets with 3 unused days on them many others do the same.
We loved universal. That Jurassic park ride was a total anti climax.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 15/05/2012 18:16

"It was the one where you hang from a pterodactyl type thing"

I know of the ride you mean; its awfully slow to load and that is why the line is so long (90 mins is usual). Its not worth a 9 minute wait let alone 90!. As the other respondent has rightly pointed out it is SOOOOOO disappointing so you have really not missed anything.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 15/05/2012 18:19

The tickets issued for the theme parks like Universal and Disney are checked and verified with a fingerprint on the initial purchase so buying tickets off the touts is really not worth doing.
