Any ideas?

I'm going to be there this week with DH (who has a conference) and Dd 16m. Dd and I will be on our own for most of the trip as DH will be working.

Hi Dubai is a really kiddie friendly place, but with this weather (42 in the shade) you'll be mainly indoors, but go to Mirdiff Mall and check out thier activities for kids, they have a miniature version of the science museum basement with water play, a football area and for you or dad the amazing IFly, for more ideas on where to eat and generally what to do, look at this site,
www.doindubai.com

Too young for Kidzania, but fine for water parks depending on budget and time of day, so either Atlantis or Wild Wadi. And of course lots of eating,

please let me know if you need any other advice

Second the Wild wadi waterpark with plenty of sunscreen and sun protection top (they sell them there) My kids love the kids part or alternatively the one at Atlantis is good too. In fact Atlantis probably a bit better as you can go on the beach too.

Go on expat woman and see if there are any indoor toddler groups that suit you, plus all malls have a soft play, there is aqua adventure At midriff too. It's way to hot and dusty to be outside. If your hotel has a covered pool then sit in that with the kids:) After 6 you could take them to a park, safa2 is very nice for little ones, or jumeriah beach park.

Dubai Mall - aquarium and underwater zoo - my son loves looking at the fish!
Look into boogie babies in Dubai - lots of classes at different locations!
Most malls have soft play areas -
Dubai marina mall has a place called Favourite Things which is good (as well as a ride on train!
There is also Mini Monsters on Sheikh Zayed Road.
Extreme Fun in Motor City for soft play
Mirdif City Centre has lots for toddlers! (amazing change facilities next to costa coffee at the food court!)

Check out the Entertainer book for discount vouchers - recommend dream land water park in UAQ (bit of a drive but a great day out for the family) but there is wild wadi and Aquaventre in Dubai. You may also like the dolphinarium - just DON'T go to Dubai Zoo!

Its all not cheap though but if you are on facebook just search for these places and you will find offers and deals - would also recommend More cafe as one of the most child friendly places to eat - they are in most Malls!

You may be surprised how much attention your little one gets - they love children here!
