Question re car seat in front seat

Hi
Baby no. 3 is due in a few weeks (gulp!) and as the back of the car is now full with the other two, I am wondering whether it is legal to put a tiny car seat (rocking type) in the front seat (providing the airbag is disabled). Also, if the answer is yes, can a stage 2 car seat also go in the front or not?
Thank you .

I always put tiny one in front but pretty sure stage 2 has to go in the back.

here is the law

Thank you very much. Do you know what I have to do to disable the front airbag? Do I have to take it to the car manufacturer or do you think any garage would do it - also would they charge for this?

I can turn mine off, to the right of the steering wheel is an keyhole, which when turned switches off the passenger air bag.

If you don't have that ability, then i know it can cost a bit to disable, not sure whether other garages would be able to do it or whether you need to go back the dealer though.

Thank you - am grateful for information - will have to deal with it quickly because am knackered at 35 weeks and don't feel like I will be able to leave the house to deal with ANYTHING soon.

the law is due to change soon an there are no guidelines yet just proposals listed here

Arabella, if you don't have a way of turning off and on the airbag, you will probably need to get a specialist company to do it for you - our main dealer wouldn't/couldn't do it. Whereabouts are you? I can post the details of where I had mine done if you are in London/SE (I only found one place that could do it...)
