Has anyone been to DLP recently? Want to go and was under impression that FastPAss was of limited availability. Now a friend tells me anyone could use the facility to avoid queuing when she went 2 yrs ago. How does it work pls???

You can only get a past pass for some of the rides, the more populatr ones. You get a ticket with a time on it. You go to the queue at that time and there is a much shorter queue that is *only for past pass ticket holders

Anyone can use the fast pass scheme, however if you are in the DISNEYLAND hotel (the pink palace thing) you get a special type of VIP fast pass. I am staying in the Sequia Lodge and will use the fast pass when needed. Go onto a few of the special disney message board sites as they have great info there.

Anyone can use fast pass. You go to a machine nearer the ride you want to do it for (only certain rides available). Above it it says what time the Fast pass can be used - this changes regularly as they only have a %age of Fast pass tickets for each time slot. You then use your Disney entry tickets in the machine. You get another card out then (or ticket of some form) stating the time to return to the ride's fast pass queue.

So yes it is limited availability as only a %age of seats on a ride per time slot is available to fast pass, but anyone with a Disney entry ticket can use the machines.

BTW, at some times during the day it is quicker to NOT use fast pass!
