Singapore - buying fabric?

Is Singapore a good place to buy drapery fabric? A lot of designer houses have gorgeous Thai and Indian silks, I wonder whether one could find something reasonably cheaply in Singapore. Your insights would be much appreciated.

Sadly there are no bargains to be had in Singapore, however there is a street called 'Arab Street' that is full of fabric shops. It is certainly an interesting place to look around for an hour or so and you may find what you are looking for...
