..........so do I watch the Dispatches program tomorrow night and scare myself witless about flying with them?

Have read a few articles in the papers today about the issues and think the program is quite heavily hyped and no serious issues were found! (I hope!)

I say don't worry if one of them is taking a quick snooze as long as the other attendants are awake along with the pilot!

Seriously I have had no worries with them and they are too busy serving drinks and trying to sell gifts to earn commision to be snoozing for long, I suppose they might take turns to get 40 winks.

They must get tired and it is probably a storm in a teacup after catching a stewardess nodding off during take off. They sometimes have to sit for ages. It might turn out they stretch out on the empty seats on quite flights and leave the passengers to help themselves .

No don't watch the programme - unnecessary stress before you fly.
They probably spent months trying to get some grubby stories for this programme. RyanAir is cheap & a bit pikey but that does not mean it is dangerous. I've flown with them lots of times and am still here to tell the tale & fly with them again this summer.

Thing is as well, they will know that this prog is coming out and will be straightening up their breeches to buggery. I'd rather fly with them this month than last month say.

bubblerock · 12/02/2006 22:09

I'm flying with them next month to Dublin so it's nice to hear good stories! (I'm really scared, I'd rather get a boat - I can swim ok but not too great at flying!)

I agree they will probably got their fingers out and sorted out any problems so best airline to fly with. What ever is said about them the training is still quite intense and they still come across as very professional.

Flight to Dublin from Prestwick is quite funny. God help you if you miss time your trip to the toilet trip. They have about 50 minutes to get the drinks and gift runs done and pick up the rubbish. My tip is have the right money for drinks and don't try to push past them, they take no prisoners. You are barely up in the air and you start coiming back down, my ears didn't even have time top pop .

Just ensure your luggage is not over their new weight limit of 15kg. This new policy of theirs (aka their new money making scheme) has caught a lot of people out.

www.airlinequality.com has a lot of opinions on Ryanair and other airlines.
