I'd like to go somewhere warm this summer, but don't want an all out beach holiday, or a sightseeing trip. This kind of active holiday seems just the ticket,

But, I also want it to be a family holiday. The opportunity to spend some time with adults doing one thing and children another is lovely, but are the children always off doing their separate activities, or are there some things you can do as a family too?

How easy is it to get booked into the activities you want, i.e. are the good ones over-subscribed?

Will all the children be super sporty or will my active, but not particularly talented boys find it suits their abilities?

Also, how much spending money are we likely to need?!

Thank you Smile

Yes i've been twice but the last time was 8 years ago.

I don't know how much the accomodation has been updated but it was looking a bit tired back then. We chose to self cater so didn't spend a fortune on food (or at lest no more than we would have done at home).

We didn't have any problems getting into the activities we wanted. I went on their morning run every day whilst DH looked after DD, then we took it in turns to take classes as we didn't want to use the childcare (our friend did and i found her DD wandering off alone). DH went on the organised cycling activity.

How old are your DCs? At 2 ours didn't really make use of any of the sporting facilities though she loved the leisure pool and ran round the running track.

Thanks Beanbagz, our boys are 9 & 11 and like swimming and generally being active, but don't have any natural talent for sports (esp ball sports)

Reading the reviews on tripadvisor the accommodation is very poor and see they do luxury appartments - anyone have experience of these.

I still unsure whether its for us? My hubby is triathlete so he'll be fine. Noise levels with so many children running amoke?

The full board package is a cheap option. Is the food of a good standard I dont want to boys stuffing their faces with burgers and chips.

I see also the leisure pool is freezing, seeing my boys are only 3 & 6 I would like them to spend a lot of time in the pool. Suppose the pool is ok in warmer months - when is the best time to go?

This is a 'full on' holiday will I need a break when I get home?
