Hi, we are planning on getting married in Antigua later this year and are taking our 5yr old with us, just the three of us, can anyone recommend a good hotel? Thinking of blue waters or the varrandah?

St James Club is lovely.

Thanks Fluffy, I have looked at it because it has a kids club as well as wedding package and would like somewhere for our daughter to make a few friends to play with, she is really outgoing and loves meeting new kids, plus a little time to chill by ourselves would be a nice bonus!

Blue waters was excellent my friends god married on the arm sticking out to sea, it was very well organised and we had a great time afterwards. If you have guests that need a cheaper place to stay the halycon cove is a good all inclusive resort for people on a budget.

Thanks for that, it looks lovely, is a bit expensive but might just be worth it. We were planning on it just being us there but a couple of our friends are talking about joining us which would be lovely.

Hi I have stayed at blue waters it was fantastic, there were a couple of weddings while we were there - all looked lovely. Only thing I would say is that there were very few children in the hotel and I don't think there was a kids club - if there was, it wasn't very visible. I can only recall there being 2 families with kids and there was no play area it was beach or pool. So much as I loved it, for you taking your dd you may be better somewhere more family orientated. OR you could do a 2 centre and stay 2 places (if going for 2 weeks). Antigua is fab, a beach for every day of the year, turquoise sea, palm trees, unspoilt beaches - you will have a wonderful time. Congratulations on your marriage.

Thanks for the great replays, have booked blue waters, cant wait! My fiancé really wanted it so hopefully dd will be amused easily on the beach etc. there for 10 days so will do a trip out or two if need be.
