Things to do in Colwyn Bay/Llandudno

Dh working nearby next week (Wed-Fri) - dc & I are on hols & joining him (probably just Thurs-Fri).

What is there to do - haven't been to either since I was a kid? Thinking probably Welsh Mountain Zoo...

& of the two, which would be better to base ourselves in? We'll be using public transport/cabs as dh will be using the car for work, so it'd be easier if we had a hotel closer to child-friendly stuff/cafes etc - it makes no odds to dh which I book the hotel in.

Dc are 7,6 & 4.

We went to the aqaurium in Rhyl, it was ok. The kids enjoyed it. Also running hell for leather along the sea front at Llandudno.

Stayed at the Waverley on North Parade and they couldn't do enough to be helpful.

The zoo in Colwyn Bay is lovely and well worth a visit. Llandudno has a good pier and Great Orme to explore.

Lladudnbo knocks spots off Colwyn Bay which is a bit of a dump IMO.
