Weekend break in Barcelona - must stay/do?

It is our 10 wedding anniversary this year and I wanted to book a child free weekend somewhere nice. We won't have much time so is it worth going to Barcelona and if so, nice places to stay centrally? Where must we visit and eat?

Neither of us have been before and it will be in October.

Thank you Smile

Barcelona is IMO a fantastic place to go for rhe wekend.

Haven't been for a long long time but Park Guell is a must as is the cathedral.

It's a wonderful city

Gaudi - La Sagrada Familia
Picasso museum - it's mainly juvenilia but interesting nonetheless

Wander down the Ramblas, see the harbour, eat and stuff

You will love and I am envious

Use the hop on hop off bus to get round the city. It stops by all the major attractions.

Definitely walk up and down the ramblas to the harbour.
Park Guell is fantastic and you get wonderful view of the city.
I wouldn't bother with the sagrada familiar if I were you, but that might just be me...
Otherwse find a nice bar, eat lovely food and wander around the city looking up at the amazing buildings.

Oh I bloody love Barcelona.
Enjoy yourselves, you will have a fantastic time.
