Brighton isn't too far away - beach, Sea Life Centre etc.

There's also the Bluebell Railway, which is quite fun.

Hever Castle is also not too far and is excellent for children.

Very close to Horsham there is a really nice Children's farm called Holmbush which is lovely on a nice day one of the best in terms of play facilities I've ever been to.

Fishers farm is great if you want a full on day but a bit expensive IMO, however we have always had a lovely day there. It is about twenty minutes from Horsham. In Horsham itself there is Horsham park which is lovely if you do picnic and park-there are kids play things and indoor soft play in the sports centre if it rains.

Tilgate park near Crawley is meant to be fabulous. It is free but you have to pay for car parking. Everyone around here really rates it. We must go in the holidays..... The usual thing of having things on your doorstep and not going!

Will keep thinking..
